Binocular Sky Chart

Meade MYSKY handheld device?

Has anyone seen or used the Meade MYSKY. As some one new to astromnmy it seems to be a good why to identify and locate as well as learn about the obects in the night sky. But would you just be better buying a good pair of binoculars and a sky chart.

I bought a MySky and it’s great. It gives you good background information on planets, stars, constellations, deep space objects but once you find them its a bit of a let down not having a scope to actually see them. Ideally I would have a large dobsonian along with the MySky. That would be a perfect pairing, The MySky would help you find the objects to look at through your scope.
