7×50 binocular ranging?

I recently got my hands on a pair of old binoculars that I have reason to believe are military issued. When looking through the binoculars, there are lines and numbers up to 20 but they are not mil dots like in a rifle scope. The lines run vertically and horizontally by increments of five (i think 5). On the binoculars are numbers and info that i do not understand. What I would like to know is how to range using these numbers and lines, and what does INS property mean? If any other info is needed to answer these questions, let me know and I will post other information I can obtain including old numbers taped to the binoculars if needed.

INS poperty means that the binoculars are made by INS.
